Pulling an 18-wheeler out the snow.
In the middle of February, many parts of Upstate New York, including the city of Rochester was hit hard by a snow storm. In less than 24 hours, some areas accumulated as much as 22 inches of the white stuff. Vehicles were stranded everywhere, and one man was putting his Ford F250 wheels to the test.
Across the city the snow accumulated during the early morning hours, causing many commuters to become stuck in traffic on expressways and streets. This left thousands stranded for hours and many stuck on the road, unable to move.
On 490 westbound expressway in the city of Rochester, one 18-wheeler had become stuck and could not get traction because of the snow. With many vehicles such as this stranded on the side of the expressway, plows could not clear snow. So, one man and his truck used their diesel engine and Ford F250 wheels to pull others out.
Chris Johnson, a welder, was just trying to head home from his job in on the other side of town by using the expressway that morning when he was caught in traffic with his Ford F250 Super Duty. Luckily for him, his Ford F250 wheels were strapped with winter tires and had four-wheel drive to back them up.
Upon passing people that were stuck, including this 18-wheeler, he pulled them out to allow snow plows to drive through and clear the way.
Johnson hooked up his truck to the 18-wheeler and basically floored the throttle, pulling the truck just enough to get it free and on the move.
Just goes to show that when you have the right Ford F250 wheels and proper tires, traction is never in short supply.
