The Lexus GS has long been an under-the-radar luxury sedan that offered up swank amounts of luxury along with a smooth ride and lots of technology. That super-durable Lexus reliability was a hallmark as well. The second generation model also built on the first-generation’s success and it became quite the popular Japanese luxury sedan. With that being said, this 2007 Lexus GS 350 with its new set of TSW Wheels is an instant hit.
The Japanese luxury sedan may not have the same performance-oriented character as the BMW 5-Series and other German competitors nor does it have their superb driving dynamics, but that’s not what makes it special and popular. It has a high-tech, reliable build and a high-class, subtle luxury flair. Its rear-wheel drive setup also makes it a perfect candidate for a new set of staggered wheels that emphasize the power going to the rear axle.
On the outside and under the hood, not much has been done in terms of modifications and upgrades save for the new set of TSW Wheels. The factory 2GR-FSE 3.5-liter V-6 engine is more than capable of spinning the new staggered wheels. A total of 305 horsepower at 6,400 RPM and 278 lb-ft. of torque at 4,800 RPM is sent to each of the TSW Wheels for some kick in the rear that will help the GS 350 scoot around town with a purpose.
The Pièce de résistance on this 2007 Lexus GS 350 is the new set of TSW Wheels. Here, the new rims were installed in a wide 20 x 8.5 +40 front and 20 x 10.0 +40 rear setup. The wider footprint in this set of staggered wheels is visually on display with the more powerful stance and aggressive look of a car that once flew under-the-radar. The finishing touch comes with 235/35/20 front and 265/30/20 rear tires that grab at the asphalt with ease.
It may not be the most powerful or in-your-face, but this Lexus GS 350 is all you need to turn heads.
