Meaty and Beefy.

The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 is a great truck for work as it’s straightforward and to-the-point. Its four-wheel drive and naturally-aspirated V-8 engine are the perfect tools for whatever job that sits in store. While it may be focused more on getting the job done, it can also have some style like with this 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 Regular Cab with a new set of 18-inch Ultra Wheels, some off-road tires, body work, and some engine upgrades.

First off, the naturally-aspirated V-8 engine is a workhorse and is more than happy to pull, tow, and haul anything and everything. With the new styling upgrades installed, it was a good idea to throw on a few engine modifications that help turn those new Chevy 1500 wheels with ease. The 300+ horsepower V-8 engine was given a new K&N exhaust system and a Flowmaster exhaust system that erupts with a more menacing burble. This helps to push the output up a bit and send even more power to each of the newly installed Ultra Wheels.

With a few extra American ponies under the hood, the next focus was on looking the part. This was achieved by installing a new set of aftermarket Chevy 1500 wheels along with a new suspension kit and body work. The factory set of rims was removed and replaced with a new set of Ultra Wheels that measure 18 inches in diameter and provide a bigger footprint than the factory setup. The new Ultra Wheels also wear new Nitto Mud Grappler tires that offer up greater grip over rough terrain and make the Silverado a truck to be reckoned with on and off the asphalt. With the new wheels installed, the next step was a new leveling kit for the suspension that helps to give the truck a proper fitment.

To finish things up, the truck and its new Chevy 1500 wheels were complemented with some powerful new Bushwaker fender flares and a new Procoat spray-in beadliner. These both work to give the truck additional confidence and capability compared to the stock model.

This Chevrolet Silverado may be a work truck at heart, but it still has lots of style.
