General Motors has been cranking out quite a few special edition packages lately for their vehicles. GMC, Chevrolet, and others have all seen special upgrade packages that customers can purchase for a relatively inexpensive price and get quite a few styling or performance goodies. The latest to receive the custom treatment is the Chevrolet Impala with the new Midnight Edition. New dark-themed upgrades will be featured inside and out from the black wheels to the sport pedals and more.

Based on a concept vehicle that made its debut at the SEMA Show in 2014, the new Chevrolet Impala Midnight Edition gives a darker, more intimidating appearance for the already stylish sedan. Black wheels, new exterior trim pieces, logos, and pedals all make for a more exciting cruiser.

“Since its introduction in 2014, Impala has become a benchmark for Chevrolet car design,” said Steve Majoros, Chevrolet director of car marketing. “The Midnight Edition further strengthens the Impala’s dramatic, head-turning styling.”

The new Chevrolet Impala Midnight Edition sports a new Jet Black exterior paint including the side mirrors for a uniform look. The front grille and its surround are black as well and feature a black Chevrolet bowtie logo, as does the rear. New 19-inch black wheels made from machined aluminum add to the overall look. To finish it off and give a more athletic confidence, the rear wears a new black spoiler.

Inside, the Chevrolet Impala Midnight Edition will also have the same sinister color scheme. The entire cabin has been given a full Jet Black look along with new sport pedals for a better feel for drivers.

The new Midnight Edition packages will be available for the 2016 model-year vehicles in 1LT, 2LT, and LTZ trims with a handful being available as 2015 model-year vehicles in 2LT trim with the 2.5-liter engine.
