Extreme off roading for the Compass.

The newest generation of Jeep Compass was just unveiled and it was just in time for the 51st annual Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah. Here, Jeep released a range of new concept models with various performance parts, truck rims, styling, and usable features that will hopefully one day make their way into production vehicles.

“It’s truly a labor of love for the Jeep team to develop exciting, capable concept vehicles each year for Moab and the Easter Jeep Safari,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global. “We look forward to the reaction and feedback from enthusiasts and our most loyal customers as these new Jeep concepts are put through their paces on the trails in Moab.”

One of the newcomers is the Jeep Trailpass concept. Based on the newest generation Jeep Compass, the new Trailpass concept takes the Compass Trailhawk to a new level of off road performance. This is achieved with new 18-inch truck rims that sport a special pocket accent and Continental TerrainContact all-terrain tires. A new 1.5-inch lift kit provides greater ground clearance for the new truck rims while a Jeep Performance Parts rock rails and cross rails make things a bit easier. A new Jeep Performance Parts roof basket with Mopar/Thule roof bag and traction mats make off road adventures easier.

Visually, the Jeep Trailpass concept is more exciting thanks to a variety of new styling. A custom hood graphic, side stripes, and tinted headlights and taillights add a more aggressive character along with the gloss black side mirror caps.

Powering all four of the custom truck rims is the 2.4-liter Tigershark turbocharged inline-four engine mated to a nine-speed automatic gearbox.

Inside, the Jeep Trailpass concept sports Katzkin leather seats and armrest upholstery while Jeep Performance Parts all-weather floor mats keep things from getting too messy. New body-colored bezels add a touch of customization as well.

The new Jeep Trailpass concept likely won’t be available to the public as a production model, however many of the parts featured on the concept will likely be available to order from dealers.
