Watch the Toyo Ferret Dig in Its Rims and Tires!

Toyo Tires Ferret

The ultimate off-roader.

Back in the late 1940s, the British military created the Ferret armored fighting vehicle that was designed to be a quick scout on the battlefield. Instead of tank tracks, it featured a beefy set of rims and tires to get around with its 4×4 drivetrain. This 1959 Ferret built by Action Vehicle Engineering is a bit more hardcore – even without its armaments.

The Toyo Tires Ferret is extreme from top to bottom. Wearing Open Country rubber and sporting a matte black exterior, this beast is ready for anything the terrain has to throw at it. This Ferret also sports a total of six rims and tires that help it to clear obstacles that might usually get stuck beneath the middle of other trucks and SUVs.

Action Vehicle Engineering not only gave the Toyo Tires Ferret a pretty intimidating paintjob, but they also equipped it with new King Shocks that allow the rims and tires more travel. A new Smittybilt X20 12K Winch that can shoot a grappling hook is also featured on the front bumper in case of an emergency, and looks absolutely badass. Blazing the trail at night are new Explorer Lights.

But behind the wheel of the Ferret is off-road champ, BJ Baldwin, who knows a thing or two about sinking those meaty rims and tires into the dirt.

With Baldwin driving, Toyo Tires unleashed their Ferret on the wilderness and had quite a bit of fun.
