Living the low life.
Almost all trucks are built as a tool to get work done. Hauling, pulling, carrying, and driving through tough terrain are all part of their resumes. However, style isn’t always something that is thought of when creating a truck. This RAM 1500 is setting a new trend. Instead of beefing up and lugging around heavy stuff to show off its masculine persona, it huge the pavement and tucks in its new DUB Wheels as it turns heads.
This RAM 1500 goes about its business in a different way than other trucks. Thanks to a full air suspension that required extensive modification, the new DUB Wheels sit up inside the body work and the bottom sits just centimeters above the pavement.
The best thing about the conversion is that the RAM 1500 still retains the powerful HEMI V-8 engine from the factory and output. The 5.7-liter V-8 HEMI sends a whopping 395 horsepower and 410 lb-ft. of torque to the new DUB Wheels and lets out a mean rumble at the push of the throttle.
But the real star of the show is the RAM 1500’s stance. The factory suspension setup was swapped out in place of a new air suspension that allows the entire truck to be raised or lowered at the push of a button. The installation wasn’t just that easy. In order for the RAM 1500 to get insanely low to the ground, the DUB Wheels had to be tucked inside the bodywork. This required extensive modifications to make the necessary room, but in the end the team was able to make it work.
The final touch was a new set of DUB Shot Calla rims. The new Shot Calla – S120 wheels were installed in a massive 26 x 10.0 front and rear fitment with shimmering chrome finish. These neatly-tucked wheels are strapped with a set of low-profile 295/25 R26 tires to complete the low stance.
Sometimes, it’s better to be different and go against the grain.
