The new GMC Sierra Carbon Editions with new Truck Wheels are Rockin’

New styling for the capable truck line.

The GMC Sierra and Chevrolet Silverado may share quite a bit of DNA together, but the former is packed with a bit more luxury and convenience. Those that are looking for more style in their truck will find themselves choosing the Sierra, and now it’s getting even better. The new GMC Sierra Carbon Editions are making their way to dealerships with new graphics, standard features, and truck wheels.

“The beauty of the new Sierra lies in its strength and sophistication,” said Stuart Pierce, Sierra marketing manager. “But for customers wanting to stand out and make a strong statement, the Sierra Carbon Edition models are the answer.”

In total, three new GMC Sierra Carbon Editions will be available, each with varying degrees of customization and price tags, based on the 2015 Sierra 1500 pickup.

The top dog in the lineup is the new GMC Sierra Carbon 22 Edition offered as the Sierra SLE double- and crew-cab models. Two new carbon graphics adorn the hood to emphasize power and muscle, while another carbon graphic adorns the tailgate. A new black-painted grille helps to conform with the carbon design of the graphics while body-colored door handles and mirror caps lend to a darker tone. As part of the Sierra Carbon 22 Edition, new four-inch black tubular side assist steps and special 22-inch truck wheels are fitted. Also coming standard are fog lights, remote keyless start, Universal Home Remote, 110-watt power outlet, and dual-zone climate controls.

Right beneath the Carbon 22 Edition is the Sierra Carbon 20 Edition. The Carbon 20 Edition is available as a Sierra SLE double-cab and has the same black-painted grille and carbon fiber graphics on the body. Instead of the larger 22-inch truck wheels, the Sierra Carbon 20 Edition sports a set of 20-inch wheels.

The standard GMC Sierra Carbon Edition still serves up a good host of features. Based on the Sierra 1500 double-cab, the Carbon Edition has the same exterior graphics, body-colored trim pieces, and black-painted grille as the other models. Remote keyless entry, a 110-volt power outlet, and LED cargo box lighting are also standard.

All of the new GMC Sierra Carbon Edition models will be available with two- or four-wheel drive. The standard engine is the 4.3-liter V-6 with 285 horsepower and 305 lb-ft. of torque, providing up to an EPA estimated 24 mpg. The more powerful engine driving the new truck wheels is the 5.3-liter EcoTec3 V-8 with 355 horsepower as an option.

The 2015 GMC Sierra Carbon Edition will start at $33,075, while the Carbon 20 Edition comes in at $38,275, and the Carbon 22 Edition at $42,270 MSRP. Dealerships are now accepting orders for double-cab variants while crew-cabs will be available for order in October.
