A modern off-road classic.

The Toyota FJ40 Land Cruiser made quite a name for itself as an off-road monster that couldn’t be beaten. Although they are not produced today, they still hold a special place in the hearts of off-roaders and are collector’s classics. Back in 2005, Toyota unveiled their FJ Cruiser, which was a modern interpretation of the classic SUV and paid homage to its roots. Fuel wheels took that even further with this beefed up FJ Cruiser that’s more than capable of handling any type of terrain.

This 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser is more than willing to take on any off-road duties thanks to its short wheelbase, truck-based underpinnings, and special high-strength steel. A 237 horsepower, 278 lb-ft. of torque output from a 4.0-liter V-6 doesn’t hurt either. The design takes the classic FJ40 into the modern era and even includes the classic three-wiper-blade setup on the front windshield. But this 2007 model is much more than that, with its special suspension setup, Fuel wheels, and tires.

The Silver 2007 Toyota FJ Cruiser was equipped with a brawnier front grille sporting the Fuel logo and exposed bolt apertures to visually differentiate it from the standard SUV. Also up front is a beefier skid plate and bumper bars to decimate anything that tries to take on the FJ. Above the new Fuel wheels sit extended fenders that add that grizzly, off-road touch.

In order to allow the FJ to trample and kind of terrain, the suspension had to be turned up a notch. This was accomplished through the use of a three-inch Toytec lift kit that raises the ride height for better off-road performance. New D557 Fuel Anza wheels with 18 mm spacers measuring 20 x 10.0 sit at the front and rear and sport 33/12.5 R20 Fuel Gripper M/T tires for even better grip. The multi-piece, five-spoke Fuel wheels add a touch of dynamics and confidence for conquering any kind of rough terrain.

While it may not have the same resume as the original FJ40, this 2007 FJ Cruiser is more than capable of handling itself on of off-road.
