Time to go to the Arctic Circle!

The new Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro has it all. The truck is built to essentially go anywhere thanks to its off road upgrades from the new Toyota Tacoma wheels to the body work and interior modifications. Its design takes after the racing models that the brand has built to take on Baja and other harsh events.

To test its mettle, Toyota has enlisted the help of Pro Off Roader, Andy Bell, and Pro Rally Driver, Ryan Millen, to take a TRD Pro up to Alaska and see how it performs. The snowy, frozen tundra of the state was indeed rough even for the beefy Toyota Tacoma wheels.

The two talented drivers were tasked with driving 530 miles to the end of the Dalton highway and into the Arctic Circle where they would finish at Deadhorse, AK, the northernmost point accessible by road. So, the two turned on the heater, dug in their Toyota Tacoma wheels, and set off.

The journey saw them find trails and rip through snow with their TRD Pro model. It also included quite the dare with one man going for a very icy dip into the water. Towards the end of the trip, a tough storm was approaching that included lots of snow and 60 mph wind gusts. The Toyota Tacoma wheels were able to dig through the snowy terrain and reach the destination with ease.

The impressive thing is that the Toyota Tacoma TRD Pro was not modified by the duo at all for the trip.
