If you have the right vehicles and the right tires, than putting your car wheels into the snow and ice can be an incredibly fun and exciting thing to do. Alpine skier and snowboarder, Jon Olsson is no stranger to the powdery white stuff and high-end things. He’s had quite a range of sports cars, super cars, exotics, and even race cars that he’s taken through the snow.
Since he has a very popular vlog, Olsson gets invited out to all sorts of events, the latest of which was at the mountains of Livigno, Italy by watchmaker, Roger Dubuis. Here’ Olsson was able to get some skiing in thanks to a helicopter, show off the new ultra-limited 1 of 8 new Roger Dubuis watches, and dig some car wheels into the snow!
At the ski resort, Olsson was given a ride in the new Lamborghini Huracan LP 640-4 Performante. This hardcore, track-inspired exotic packs a 5.2-liter V-10 engine with 631 horsepower at 8,000 RPM and 443 lb-ft. of torque at 6,500 RPM. That’s sent to all four of the lightweight car wheels, giving it a 0-62 mph acceleration time of just 2.9 seconds and a 62-124 mph acceleration time of 6.0 seconds
After sitting shotgun in the Performante, Olsson hooned it in the snow along with his friends. Next up was the new Lamborghini Aventador S with 730 horsepower at 8,400 RPM and 509 lb-ft. of torque at 5,500 RPM going to all four car wheels. This too, was put through its paces on the plowed snow course along with others.
