A touch of black.
The popularity and sales success of the RAM 1500 has been a big thing for FIAT-Chrysler, and to celebrate the vehicle’s success, they’ve announced the 2017 RAM 1500 Night Package. The special edition model will have a range of new from-the-factory upgrades with a new look including special truck wheels for a truly custom-tailored style.
“Much like our incredibly successful Ram Rebel, the Ram 1500 Night fills the growing customer demand for factory-custom trucks,” said Mike Manley, Head of Ram Brand, FCA – Global. “Truck enthusiasts want vehicles that define their personality and style. The new Ram Night package builds upon the Ram Sport – one of the best looking trucks on the road – and adds black-out details that custom truck enthusiasts revere.”
Many of the upgrades seen on the Sport models are used in the Night Edition RAM 1500 from the new truck wheels on up. Body-colored aspects such as the front fascia, rear bumper, door handles, and power-folding mirrors come standard. Dual chrome exhaust tips sit at the rear below the black-bezel taillights that match the black-bezel bi-functional projector headlights with LED marker lights.
However, the RAM 1500 Night Package tacks on a new black grille surround with the “Hex Perf” inserts along with a Black Ram’s head badge inside the grille. Flat black adorns the tailgate lettering, door badges, and HEMI door badging with a flatter finish than the new factory truck wheels. The bold ‘RAM’ tailgate lettering is also stamped out in flat black to make quite the impactful statement.
Beneath the newly-customized body sit a set of 20 x 9.0 truck wheels. The gloss black aluminum alloys are shod in 275/60 R20 all-season tires with black sidewalls to match.
Customers also have the ability to choose from a range of additional options and upgrades. A MOPAR cat-back exhaust and cold-air intake can be outfitted to the 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 or Pentastar V-6 engines to send more power to all four or just the rear truck wheels.
The new 2017 RAM 1500 Night Edition will be available in Bright Silver Metallic, Bright White, Brilliant Black, Flame Red, or Granite Crystal Metallic in Reguar-, Quad-, and Crew Cab 1500 Sport models with two- or four-wheel drive. Pricing will be released closer to the on-sale date.
