Let’s drive ‘em ‘til they blow!
If you’ve got a set of old rims and tires, you don’t just want to get rid of them without having any fun, right? That’s exactly what Youtube user, 2jeffs1 believes and does with his old rubber. Before he sends them off to the junkyard, he makes a bit of smoke and noise with them and his homemade go kart.
His homemade go kart is an exciting piece of equipment and is a featherweight fun machine. A 1986 Honda Interceptor 700 cc motor producing about 103 horsepower drives both the rear rims and tires for the two-seater, which in this case, makes for a good way to smoke the old ones.
So, he took off the new set of rims and tires and threw on a set of old, rusty wheels shod in classic “pizza cutter” tires that was not only worn but pretty aged as well. After one burnout and a run around the homemade track, he decided to give them a quick inspection before another go.
However, halfway into the second run, one of the rear rims and tires burst, coming off of the wheel and ending the day – or so you thought.
Those old wheels were removed and the standard ones were put on so that he could do a few burnouts for us (and him) to enjoy.
