Fun things don’t always have to come in monstrous packages, even when it comes to off roading. Just take the Yamaha YXZ 1000 side-by-side for example. Its compact two-person size isn’t as intimidating as a Jeep or RAM, but it is just as – if not more – capable. This custom-tailored model sports new Fuel Wheels, special lighting, and more, and is ready to tear things up.
Starting things off, the Yamaha YXZ 1000 was sent off to Desert Works in Montclair, California to get a new roll cage encompassing the front and back. The entire roll cage was powder coated crushed silver and given a tiger-lack green tint to stand out from the black body panels. The tint also matched various suspension parts as well as the Fuel Wheels. Sitting on the top of the UTV is a new Bulldog Lighting LED light bar that blazes a trail ahead for those night excursions.
Inside the Yamaha YXZ 1000 are two Simpson customized seats with Crow Enterprises harnesses for safety. A new PCI race radio and Lowrance GPS system ensures that both occupants can always be in contact. The three-cylinder engine sits directly behind and provides more than enough trust to the Fuel wheels despite its small stature.
Hitting the fresh terrain are new Fuel Wheels and tires. A new set of Fuel Anza D557 wheels with black centers and vibrant green outer rims are worn in a 15 x 7.0 setup at the front and rear. New Fuel Gripper UTV 30 x 10.0 x 15 tires eat up any kind of terrain that dares sit in their path.
