Don’t Selfie when Your Off Road Wheels are In Motion

Bad things will only happen.

The world is addicted to selfies today. Thanks to the invention of cell phone cameras and other digital devices, taking a picture of yourself is easier than ever before. The selfie stick and social media have made selfies even more popular as we attempt to show everybody how cool or popular that we are. This is even creeping up while driving as this Jeep driver and his off road wheels crashed into a friend.

We’re a self-centered society that’s glued to our cell phones and social media. Thanks, Facebook and Twitter! The obsession with taking pictures and videos of ourselves has even spread to all terrain adventures starring drivers of beefed up Jeep Wranglers with off road wheels.

For a recent gator hunting trip, one guy thought that it was a good idea to take a GoPro and selfie stick along for the ride. While his friends drove ahead down a gravel path alongside of a swamp, he and his Jeep Wrangler with off road wheels brought up the rear. During the trip, the driver thought that it would be a good idea to whip out the GoPro and selfie stick while driving and film himself and his friends while getting good shots of his Jeep and off road wheels.

However, unbeknownst to him, his friends had stopped ahead of him. While he was paying attention to the camera, he slammed his Jeep Wrangler into the rear of the Toyota and smashed the canoe that was strapped to its roof.

So much for that gator hunting trip! Thankfully, nobody was injured in the crash.
