A perfect stance for an E90.
BMW may have ended production on the E90-generation BMW 3-Series for the new F30-generation models, but that doesn’t mean it still isn’t an exciting car to drive. Take this 2008 BMW 335i for instance. Its twin-turbocharged inline-six cylinder engine has lots of pep and its BBS CXR wheels paired up with Bilstein suspension give it a powerful and athletic look as if it’s ready to eat up some corners on a track.
The E90-generaiton BMW 3-Series had all of the well-known hallmarks of the model from handling and sport to style. The twin-turbocharged engine that powers the 335i variant packs more than enough muscle, as its 302 bhp and 295 lb-ft. being sent to the rear BBS CXR wheels sends it to 62 mph in just 5.0 seconds flat. Handling is also an area where the car shines, and it’s made even better with the new wheel fitment and adjustable Bilstein suspension setup.
This 2008 E90 BMW 335i has quite the fitment setup going on as it shows off some BBS CXR wheels and a refined suspension stance. To start things out, a new Bilstein B16 PSS9 coilover suspension offers some of the best motorsports-oriented handling characteristics with a mono-tube gas shock absorber. The system can be manually adjusted for comfort or sport damping, and a lowering of 30-50 mm at the front and rear axles for an optimum center of gravity.
Sitting in front of the performance Bilstein PSS9 suspension are BBS CXR wheels. The new machined black wheels were installed in a 19 x 8.5 ET32 up front and 19 x 9.0 ET32 at the rear. Michelin sport tires in a 245/35/19 front and 265/35/19 rear size are worn to achieve even greater amounts of grip and handle the 300+ horsepower churned out by the turbocharged inline-six.
The BMW 335i is more than ready for what lies ahead with its new BBS CXR wheels and Bilstein suspension.
