Ten Minutes of pure off road fun!
We love off roading here at WheelHero. Whether you have a truck, SUV, car, or even one of those toy Barbie Jeeps, we can get behind taking it off road. There’s also nothing like taking a modified Jeep Wrangler with truck wheels and beefy tires out on the trails for some fun.
In Australia, this group decided to take out one of their group’s JK Jeep Wrangler with road legal truck wheels, tires, and suspension, for some fun in the mud, water, dirt, and more. The group hit the trails with a few other all terrain vehicles that were modified as well and took part in some pretty serious obstacles.
This green Jeep Wrangler had undergone quite a few modifications but was still street legal. The doors were swapped out, the fenders were modified, new truck wheels were installed with new tires, and the suspension was raised significantly. That all makes for quite a bit of fun and even more capability on the trails with some obstacles that require a bit of climbing.
One of the more difficult obstacles encountered by the group and the Jeep Wrangler was a ledge from a creek bed. The water level was low in the creek, but the ledge proved to be difficult. While attempting to back the Jeep up over the ledge, the truck wheels and tires spun and lost traction a few times. It took some skillful maneuvering and feathering the throttle before it was able to get up and over.
Now we suddenly have the itch to go out and play!
