How embarrassing.
When you’re taking your SUV off road, you may want to make sure that you can get out before you go around showing off. That’s something that this BMW X5 driver forgot to do before he got his tires and wheels stuck at a beach in Australia.
At Palm Beach in Sydney, Australia, one BMW X5 driver decided to drive into the sand without knowing much if anything about driving on different types of terrain. Sand can often be very difficult to drive through, even with four-wheel drive vehicles and proper tires and wheels.
And this BMW X5 was just another victim of the sand. The SUV got stuck and caught on the news where the driver was ripped apart by the local anchor. With the tide coming in, bystanders attempted to pull it out with another SUV, only to get the tires and wheels of that stuck as well.
The BMW X5 driver used a 2 x 4, but it didn’t help in the least bit. After a group of people jumped and pushed the larger SUV, it was finally able to drive away, so they called in the big guns. A front loader tractor was brought in to move some sand and pull the BMW out.
But even that and its massive tires and wheels had trouble pulling the BMW X5 out. It was only after a good deal of work that the X5 was finally freed and able to drive away out of the sandy pit of vehicle death.
Just be careful when you drive in the sand, folks. It’s not as easy as it looks.
