In 1941, the first Willys Jeeps rolled off the factory line and into the battlefield, helping the Allies to push through rugged terrain and win World War II. Their widespread use throughout both European and Pacific theatres during the way gave them quite a reputation that has stayed with it for 75 years. To celebrate the 75th anniversary, set of classic Jeep wheels with a modern twist rolled off the factory line.

The 75th Salute concept Wrangler celebrates the brand’s 75th anniversary by paying tribute to the original models that fought in World War II. The concept has everything from the classic styling and Jeep wheels with olive paint with a bit of a modern twist beneath the bodywork.

Today’s Pentastar 3.6-liter V-6 engine powers the 75th Salute concept Wrangler’s old-school Jeep wheels with ease through a six-speed manual transmission, paying homage to the manual gearboxes of yesteryear.

The classic 16-inch Jeep wheels with the iconic tread pattern used in the World War II-era vehicles was even used for the 75th Salute concept Wrangler model.

Here, Jeep put together a video showing the construction of the 75th Salute concept Wrangler from start to finish, just like the first Willys Jeeps were in the 1940s.
