Sand cars, dune buggies, and other types of small all terrain vehicles are designed for fun in the dirt and sand. This sandrail made by Racer Engineering pushes the absolute limits of man and machine, and leaves it’s off road rims and tires struggling to keep up. It also leaves the competition in the dust, way, way behind.
This sandrail isn’t your average all terrain monster of the dunes; it’s a 1,600+ horsepower beast with a seriously low overall weight and big, meaty off road rims and tires.
The monster was raced at the 2015 Horse Power Wars in Glamis Sand Dunes, California on New Year’s Day, 2015, taking home first place rather easily. Testing out the power and attempting to get the off road rims and tires to grip the sand beneath were five-time off road champion, BJ Baldwin, and internet star, Dan Bilzerian.
As you can see, it’s almost impossible not to do wheelies.
And guess what! The 1,600+ horsepower sandrail complete with all the hardcore goodies and its massive off road rims and tires is currently for sale! The price? That’s a cool $170,000. Totally worth it, though.
