It’s kind of annoying to know that the third-generation Volkswagen Scirocco will never be available in the United States as a new vehicle. Once the import laws allow it to be brought over, it will be old news. For now, we’ll have to sit here and admire cars like this Volkswagen Scirocco with Niche Wheels from afar, drooling with envy.
The Volkswagen Scirocco is basically like a Golf/GTI but in a more compact coupe body. In fact, much of the underpinnings of the Golf/GTI are shared by the Scirocco. Even the hot hatch’s design is similar, which is one reason why it wasn’t brought to the US. This White Scirocco is powered by a turbocharged 2.0 TSI engine with 208 horsepower from 5,300 to 6,200 RPM and 207 lb-ft. of torque from 1,700 to 5,000 RPM. That’s sent to the front Niche Wheels through a dual-clutch gearbox with lightning fast shift times for better overall performance.
The sleek, curvaceous lines of the Volkswagen Scirocco are part of what makes it so desirable. To take this a step further, this White Scirocco was lowered significantly so that the Niche Wheels are neatly tucked beneath the fenders for a low, flush look.
Here, the star of the show is the new set of Niche Form – M158 rims. These lightweight alloys feature a classic multi-spoke design with a slight concave depth for a more athletic stance. On this Scirocco, the Niche Wheels were installed in a large 20 x 10.0 front and rear fitment that’s large enough to draw attention but not obnoxious. The Niche Form – M158 rims also feature a smooth Bronze finish that provides just the right amount of contrast to the monochromatic body.
It really, really stinks that the Volkswagen Scirocco won’t ever come here as a new vehicle (at least not the third generation model). And pictures from fitments like this starring a new set of Niche Form – M158 rims doesn’t make it any easier.
