The Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG with BBS CHR Wheels is Super Sedan

The Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG is a four-door luxury sedan capable of easily exceeding triple-digit speeds with its brutal supercharged V-8 engine while offering up executive levels of comfort for its passengers. It’s a German luxury rocketship that provides the best of both worlds in terms of luxury and performance. Now, it’s even better thanks to a new set of BBS CHR wheels that reflect the car’s performance capabilities as well as its sporty nature that hides beneath the sheetmetal.

The rear-wheel drive Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG boasts an impressive 5.4-liter V-8 engine fed by a Lysholm-type supercharger to create a whopping 469 horsepower and 520 lb-ft. of torque. That equates to a 4.7-second 0-62 mph acceleration time, making it the fastest four-door car from Mercedes-Benz at the time it was produced. Now, all that power is being sent to a set of BBS CHR wheels that are more than up to the challenge of laying down that AMG hammer.

The black W211-generation Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG was outfitted with a set of staggered BBS CHR wheels in a finish that matches the contrasting exterior trim pieces for a clean, uniform look. The new wheels were installed in a 19-inch size with the front axle wearing 5 mm spacers for a 35 mm front and rear offset. To accommodate the spacers up front, new 1.5-inch Gorilla locking studs were installed as well with the BBS CH-R wheels. For that added grip, new Bridgestone Potenza tires were fitted in a 255/35R19 front and 285/30R19 rear setup. The new wheels may me one-inch larger in diameter than the factory E55 AMG wheels, but they still sit snug inside the fenders for a clean fitment.

The Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG is a true German luxury rocketship that begs drivers to push its supercharged V-8 engine at any chance, and it looks the part with a new set of BBS CH-R wheels.
