The award-winning Chevrolet Colorado might be a new player in the mid-size truck game, but it’s already making quite an impact. Chevrolet is marketing the truck to more adventurous consumers that might not need all of the power, size, and capabilities of a full-size truck, but could still use some means to haul, stow, or tow. The new Chevrolet Colorado GearOn Edition is the perfect upgrade for those looking to carry gear and go on an adventure with their truck and its black rims. The new GearOn Edition packs all sorts of gear-carrying goodies, new 18 inch wheels, and other available options.
The new Chevrolet Colorado GearOn Special Edition will be offered with LT models in extended or crew cab variants in long- or short-bed form with available four-wheel drive and standard 18 inch wheels. The new edition brings even more capability and configurations for carrying gear while looking more dynamic with a new set of black rims.
“Chevrolet Colorado answers the call for customers who have passions of all types and the GearOn accessory system enables them to bring more adventure wherever they go,” said Tony Johnson, Colorado marketing manager. “And with Colorado offering segment-leading efficiency and capabilities, it’s a combination that maximizes adventure without compromise.”
At the heart of the new Chevrolet Colorado special edition is the GearOn accessory system. The system includes new GearOn bars, a divider package, and cargo tie-down rings for the bed of the truck that help to organize cargo and secure it, whether it be bicycles, kayaks, tents, or other gear. A bed-mounted tent can even be used if needed. The system is designed to accommodate a wide range of accessories to make adventures easy.
In addition to the previously mentioned GearOn accessories, the Chevrolet Colorado also comes standard with a set of 18 inch wheels, black Chevy bowtie emblems at the front and rear, EZ Lift and Lower tailgate, front fog lamps, and a body colored grille. Between the dark, gloss black rims made from aluminum sit new off road assist steps to make entry easier.
The Chevrolet Colorado GearOn Special Edition will also be available with other optional GearOn accessories that can be installed prior to delivery. The new special edition goes on sale in the spring of 2015 with a starting price of $31,250.
