A new concept with all sorts of available goodies.
The Easter Jeep Safari just celebrated its 50th running in Moab, Utah to a huge off road following. Here, Jeep has been showcasing new products, parts, and just having fun every year. This year, seven total concept models have been unveiled including the Jeep Renegade Commander with optional accessories such as new rims and tires, body work, and more.
“Every year, the Jeep team looks forward to pushing the limits with new, exciting and capable concept vehicles for our most loyal enthusiasts at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, where we receive a tremendous amount of valuable feedback,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global. “This year is extra special, as together with our biggest fans, we celebrate Jeep’s 75th anniversary, as well as the 50th running of the Jeep Safari. We’re delighted to share seven of the most capable and eye-catching concept Jeep vehicles we’ve ever created at this year’s historic event.”
While the new vehicles like the Renegade Commander are concepts, they are made to showcase the list of available MOPAR and Jeep Performance Parts that consumers can buy and have installed from dealerships ranging from new rims and tires, to exhaust systems, lighting, and more.
The new Jeep Renegade Commander concept wears a special Fluorescent Grey paint across the main body while the open-air roof with removable panels, fenders, lower trim, and pillars are given a black finish. New MOPAR off road rock rails sit between the new set of rims and tires while a new trailer hitch receiver is positioned at the rear. New front and rear auxiliary lights were also installed.
Under the body of the Jeep Renegade Commander concept sits new skid plates and a modified exhaust system. New 17-inch Rubicon aluminum wheels shod in 29.5-inch BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 tires grab everything in their path. The new rims and tires help improve the SUV’s capability along with the 2.0-inch lift kit from Jeep Performance Parts.
Powering the Jeep Renegade Commander is the 2.4-liter TIgershark inline-four cylinder engine paired up with a nine-speed automatic gearbox with Jeep Active Drive Low.
The interior of the SUV comes with Katzkin seat covers for a higher end feel while body-colored bezels decorate the dashboard. A new MOPAR off road kit, floor mats, and a pedal kit complete the transformation.
While the Jeep Renegade Commander is a concept car, many of the featured upgrades will be available to order to customers.
