The Ford Ranger is back in the United States and has been enjoying healthy sales since its launch. Ford has seen over two-thirds of the new trucks leaving showrooms with some kind of an optional appearance package, so they decided to offer up a new Black Appearance Package with new styling, custom wheels, and more.
“Like the rest of their gear, Ranger customers are choosing the option that best fits their adventures,” said Todd Eckert, Ford truck group marketing manager. “Having the right gear matters and so does the right look. The Black Appearance Package adds aggressive style to the adventures our customers embark on.”
The new Ford Ranger Black Appearance Package joins the Sport Appearance Package and Chrome Appearance Package as part of the options for the mid-size pickup truck. The Sport version comes with custom wheels and Magnetic Grey accents while the Chrome package comes with chrome wheels and chrome accents.
The new Black Appearance Package comes with a few other goodies that owners will enjoy. There’s a new Black-painted grille, running boards, fender vent surround, side mirrors, sill plate, lower valence, and bash plate on the FX4 Off-Road equipped models. There’s also a new set of Black-painted 18-inch aluminum custom wheels with Black center caps. A new pair of body-colored bumpers rounds out the upgrade package.
The Ford Ranger comes standard with an EcoBoost 2.3-liter turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine driving the rear custom wheels through a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The new Ford Ranger Black Appearance Package is currently available for order for $1,995 with deliveries starting in the summer of 2019.
