There are muscle cars and then there are the ones that have the ‘Shelby’ name gracing their body panels. The Ford Shelby GT500 is an absolute monster. Performance is the name of the game with its functional, aggressive looks backing it up. From the Niche Wheels to its full wide body kit, this Ford Shelby GT500 is all about throwing down the hammer.
This Shelby Mustang GT500 is visually distinct compared to your run-of-the-mill Ford Mustang out there. A massive hood with large air intake up front and two vents by the windshield hits at the massive amount of power it’s packing. A splitter sits below the new bumper and its gaping center intake. Both the front and rear fenders were extended and house the wider Niche Wheels, connected by a set of side skirts. At the rear sits a massive spoiler wing, new bumper, and diffuser insert.
The white Shelby GT500 boasts a mighty 5.8-liter, supercharged V-8 engine pounding the rear pavement with its Niche Wheels. The 32-valve, force-fed V-8 engine can lay down a certified 662 horsepower and 631 lb-ft. of torque, making it the most powerful Mustang ever at the time of its unveiling. That’s serious power.
This 2014 Shelby GT500 isn’t finished there. Those wide fenders house a set of new Niche Wheels and lowered suspension. The factory units were swapped out for new 20 x 9.5 front and 20 x 13.0 rear Niche Vella wheels sporting a Brushed Matte DDT with polished lip. The fat footprint is finished off with a set of 335/30 ZR20 and 255/30 ZR20 Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires for added grip. The final upgrade is a new set of KW Variant 3 coilovers that provide driver’s with that extra touch of adjustability.
This Shelby GT500 Mustang is easily one of the baddest examples of pure American muscle on the streets, and you can bet it’s ready and willing to throw down.
