Watch this Dodge Put Its Truck Wheels to the Test at Auto-X!

Dodge RAM Truck Wheels Autocross

Don’t see that every day!

Autocross and other racing events are normally reserved for sports cars and super cars. Occasionally, you’ll get that one crazy person who wants to drive a van or something that’s not designed for the track. This Dodge RAM dually with its truck wheels running through an autocross track is pretty fun to watch despite its poor performance.

This Dodge RAM is not made for speed and performance. In fact the only kind of performance that it’s made for is on the job site or doing work. Its Cummins turbodiesel inline-six churns out a respectable 350 horsepower and 650 lb-ft. of torque to the rear truck wheels, though, which is more than enough to get this heavy behemoth up and going.

So, when this monster of a vehicle lined up on the start line, it easily turned a few heads. The RAM ran through the course slowly thanks to its wide and long wheelbase and top-heavy dimensions. Despite that, its rear dually truck wheels, and more, it was able to get through the course with a respectable time for its size.

So, while the track and autocross courses are mainly designed for cars, we love seeing ourselves some truck wheels pound the pavement in an attempt to take home the checkered flag!
