Here at WheelHero, we’re going to throw it back – and it’s not even Thursday! We’re talking about a 1994 Toyota Supra with a heavily-modified 2JZ engine and classic JDM look topped off with a set of Niche Wheels. It’s the ‘90s at its finest and a car that many of us will look back on with fond memories.
This 1994 Toyota Supra looks different than anything on the market today. From its Niche Wheels to the new widebody kit, it’s smooth, sassy, and a distinct Japanese design. Updated 1998 lighting gives the Alpine Silver sports car a more modern look. This Supra also features a full Ridox widebody kit with flared front and rear fenders. An RMM spoiler with carbon fiber center and Top Secret hood with intake for the turbocharger hints at the power that hides beneath.
The famous Toyota 2JZ engine that powers the rear Niche Wheels on the Supra has undergone some serious modifications. The six-speed manual gearbox is now connected to an HSK 3.4-liter “Stroker” engine fed by a Precision 76 mm turbocharger. A GReddy four-row intercooler, PHR turbo manifold, full fuel system upgrade and more complete the transformation. New TRD transmission mounts and limited slip differential help to control the massive amount of power generated by the upgraded motor.
The suspension of the Toyota Supra was also turned up a notch to make it handle better through the corners. The new Niche Wheels benefit from a new HKS Hipermax II coilover setup works with new TRD sway bars, an R2 steering rack and control arm bushings, and Superpro rear subframe bushings to tighten up the ride and handling of the sports car.
Spinning into smoke are new Niche Vicenza Mono II wheels measuring a wide 19 x 10.0 and 19 x 12.0 at the front and rear. The Gloss Anthracite-finished rims are shod in grippy 265/30 ZR19 and 335/20 ZR19 Toyo Proxes R888 tries to help control the massive amounts of power produced by the 2JZ engine.
The interior of the Toyota Supra would make Vin Diesel proud. The entire dashboard was replaced with a carbon fiber unit while the Sparco Torino front seats feature a new upholstery that’s matched by the rear pair. A TRD steering wheel gives drivers even greater control.
Although this 1994 Toyota Supra is over 20 years old, it still is one of the most sought-after favorites for enthusiasts around the globe.
