Go anywhere and have fun.

The new Ford Explorer may have moved to a more road-going platform instead of the truck-focused chassis, but that doesn’t mean it still can’t have some off road fun. This All Star Performance model that made its debut at the 2015 SEMA Show in Las Vegas has more power, a nice little lift, custom wheels, and lots of visual upgrades.

Achieving better all terrain prowess was a goal for the All Star Performance team with this Ford Explorer Sport concept. The 3.5-liter EcoBoost V-6 being fed by two turbochargers sends a great deal of power to the custom wheels in factory form. However, the All Star Performance team was able to turn things up a notch with the addition of a new MagnaFlow performance exhaust system to reduce backpressure and a new Vortech front-mounted intercooler to keep temperatures lower.

Visually, the Ford Explorer Sport concept for SEMA was more rugged and eye-catching than its stock counterparts. The entire body is covered in a custom Axalta orange paint while new Wurton LED light bars are used at the front and rear, and positioned in the bumpers. Aside from the more rugged custom wheels, other brawny upgrades include a new THULE Canyon carrier basket sitting on the roof.

Sloshing through the mud and dirt are new custom wheels paired up with a lifted suspension. New ADV10R wheels with a gold finish measure 20 x 11.0 at both axles and are shod in 305/50 R20 Toyo A/T II tires for traction in any terrain. New Baer brakes with 6S calipers and larger rotors are more than capable of brining to the SUV to a halt. To finish it all off and get it ready for trail duty, a new Traxda 2.5-inch lift kit was installed.

Inside, the customized leather and suede cockpit is surrounded by new Sony speakers and amplifiers powered by an Optima battery for complete audio entertainment.

As of now, the Ford Explorer Sport concept by All Star Performance is just a show car concept and showcases the list of available upgrades for the SUV.
