The Ferrari 458 Speciale is one of those super cars that has been taken to the very limit of what’s possible for the platform and legal to drive on public roads. It has everything from advanced aerodynamics to a crazy high-revving engine, and chassis built for handling. Shoreline Motoring made it even better (we didn’t think it was possible) by adding on a new set of Niche Wheels and new suspension bits.
The high-revving, 4.5-liter, naturally-aspirated V-8 engine sitting behind the driver in the Ferrari 458 Speciale is even more powerful compared to the standard 458 Italia. A total of 597 horsepower is created at 9,000 RPM and 398 lb-ft. of torque at 6,000 RPM is sent to each of the rear Niche Wheels in a Formula 1-style furious exhaust note. That’s good for a 0-125 mph acceleration time of just 9.1 seconds. It’s absolutely insane.
And things are still crazy away from the engine. The exterior has been completely aerodynamically optimized while the chassis is tight and made to slice up the track. A new set of wide Niche Wheels and Novitec suspension makes the asphalt melt like butter.
For this athletic red beast, Shoreline Motoring enlisted the help of Niche Wheels for a set of their Roma.34 Mono II wheels with a five double-spoke design and concave face. Each one of the Roma.34 Mono II wheels wears a contrasting Death Bronze finish – a name that reflects the sinister nature of the super car and its more aggressive design.
Up front, the new Niche Roma.34 Mono II wheels were installed in a wide 20 x 9.0 setup while the rear staggers in with a wide 21 x 12.5 pair. Slick Pirelli P Zero 255/30/20 and 355/25/21 tires are worn at the front and rear, respectively. To make sure that everything works together with the new fitment and keep the car as low as possible, a new Novitec Rosso suspension was installed.
