Big, bold, and brutal.
The newest beefed up truck project for Hammerhead Armor started out in the form of a 2015 RAM 2500 Cummins. The turbodiesel truck was chosen as a showcase for the Missouri-based company to showcase their products at trade shows around the country. Their pride in their American-made products led them to enlist the help of other USA-based companies to create the perfect show truck with new Hammerhead Armor, a lifted suspension, more power, and off road rims and tires.
In stock form, the RAM 2500 Cummins is an impressive machine, but with the help of Hammerhead Armor, it’s a brutal beast. Everything from the off road rims and tires smashing the ground to the toughened body armor is built to showcase the company’s capabilities.
Starting things out on the Hammerhead Armor RAM is a full armor kit. Up front sits a new pre-runner front bumper with integrated Warn M15000 Winch and Rigid LED lighting. The new lighting works alongside the roof-mounted, 50-inch Rigid light bar to brighten the dark road or trail ahead. Sitting atop the bumper is also a new Trex x-metal grille. A new Hammerhead Armor matching rear bumper was then installed and features recessed lighting while a full Line-X bedliner adds some practical toughness. A pair of new Bushwacker extend-a-flares at the front and rear axles make room for the new set of off road rims and tires and flank the new Hammerhead Armor running boards that provide easier access. The entire body was then finished off with a vinyl wrap.
Under the hood of the monstrous Hammerhead Armor RAM is the 6.7-liter Cummins turbodiesel inline-six cylinder engine that’s been given some added power. A new AFe cold air intake, AFe intercooler tube set, Edge Products juice with Attitude CTS programmer, and MBRP exhaust system all work together to boost output all the way up to 500 horsepower and an incredible 900 lb-ft. of torque. That power is sent to the new set of off road rims and tires through a 4.56 gear ratio from Nitro Gear & Axle with high-capacity rear differential cover.
The final touch was at the chassis. Here, a BDS 6.0-inch, four-link Conversion System with Fox shocks and dual steering stabilizer was installed to ensure any obstacle could be overcome with ease. Then, the factory wheels tire tires were swapped out for a new set of 20 x 10.0 BMF Novakane wheels wearing 37 x 12.5 x 20 Toyo R/T tires for the ultimate traction while off road.
The new Hammerhead Armor RAM is easily one show car that will turn heads around the country.
