Power and Looks.

The new Ford Explorer is redesigned and confident. It has all the power with its Ecoboost V-6 engine, lots of space, and some style to boot. However, the team at MAD Industries took the crossover SUV to a new level of both style and prestige with their upgrade program featuring engine tuning, exterior upgrades, and new Niche Wheels.

The 2016 Ford Explorer Sport is powered by a potent 3.5-liter EcoBoost, twin-turbocharged V-6n engine producing 365 horsepower at 5,500 RPM and 350 lb-ft. of torque at 3,500 RPM. That’s more than enough get-up-and-go to drive all four of the newly-installed Niche Wheels and set passengers back into their seats.

Visually, the Ford Explorer Sport was given a full Axalta Cromax Pro Waterborn Paint system in Pure White with Jet Black Contrast graphics. The entire paint scheme is covered in a protective coat of BASF RM System Glamour Clear. The roof rack was shaved down for a sleek, low-profile silhouette and draw eyes to the new Niche Wheels. Special PIAA Tera LED lights and Forzna wipers add a visual impact. For times when the Explorer isn’t being shown off, there’s a Coverking stretch satin cover.

Underneath the freshly painted body work sits a new set of Niche Wheels along with some suspension goodies to make the ride even more enjoyable. The factory rim and tire set was replaced with a new Niche Alpine rim package in a massive 24 x 10.0 fitment at both axles with 285/35 ZR24 Pirelli Scorpion Zero all-season tires. The new fitment sits perfectly thanks to the new Eibach Pro-Plus Performance handling package that reduces the overall center of gravity. The final touch are MGP brake caliper covers proudly displaying the Ford logo for all to see.

Inside, the 2016 Ford Explorer hides with 3M Crystalline window tint from prying eyes. Many of the trim pieces and accessories were color-matched with the exterior while the steering wheel, seat covers, and other panels were covered in custom Black leather with white contrasting stitching. Custom floor mats with SRP Racing billet aluminum pedals clean things up beneath the beltline. For those times when drivers have a need for speed, a PASSPORT 9500ci Radar and Laser Defense system from Escort Inside keeps the police at bay.
