This year is a very important year in the Jeep brand’s history. It marks the 75th anniversary since they first started out and made a name for themselves in the off road world. To celebrate, Jeep has introduced a variety of 75th Anniversary edition such as the new Cherokee that sport exclusive colors, custom wheels, and a host of other treats.
“Jeep vehicles have defined the authentic SUV and set the benchmark for off-road capability and freedom since they were first produced in 1941,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global. “Today, Jeep SUVs continue to deliver 4×4 leadership, as well as fuel efficiency, world-class craftsmanship and premium on-road dynamics.
“In honor of the brand’s 75th anniversary, we have created eye-catching, special-edition models of each vehicle in our lineup that celebrate the unparalleled history of the legendary Jeep brand,” Manley added.
The new 2016 Jeep Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition model is based on the Latitude 4×4 model and is available in either Recon Green, Brilliant Black, Bright White, Billet Silver, Rhino, or Granite Crystal colors along with custom wheels and trim pieces.
Visually, the Jeep Cherokee 75th Anniversary model sports unique trim colors and accents. These pair up nicely with the new 75th Anniversary badges with orange highlights. Providing some contrast are five-spoke, 18-inch custom wheels wearing a Low Gloss Bronze finish.
Inside, the special standard features continue with cloth seat inserts and Tangerine accent stitching on the seats and other parts of the cockpit. An 8.4-inch touchscreen is front-and-center while a dual-plane sunroof sits above.
Customers of the Jeep Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition model will be able to choose between the 2.4-liter inline-four cylinder with or without PZEV certification to drive all four of the custom wheels.
The new the Jeep Cherokee 75th Anniversary Edition will start at $29,875 with a $995 destination charge, and be available in the first quarter of 2016.
