Turning tires into smoke.
Professional drift champion, Ryan Tuerck, knows a thing or two about spinning his custom wheels sideways on the track with his cars and turning rubber into smoke. This drifter is also from Derry, New Hampshire, which is a short drive to New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
As Tureck shreds his tires with his custom wheels on his purpose-built drifters around the country, he returns home every once and a while to lay some rubber down on his old stomping grounds. This time, he went there to be the first to ever drift the entire track.
The road course at New Hampshire Motor Speedway isn’t exactly short, and can be a bit complicated in some ways, but Tuerck was up for the challenge. Armed with his Toyota GT-86 with modified engine, suspension, roll cage, custom wheels, and more, he set out to tackle the course.
Just like you would’ve guessed, Tuerck was able to go through the entire road course while drifting, becoming the first person to do so in history. After that feat was accomplished, he enlisted the help of his friend, Steve Angerman to join in the hooniganism and spin his custom wheels around the track while drifting sideways for some serious fun.
