Burnout gone wrong.
We get it. We totally get it at WheelHero. The need to show off your vehicle’s power and performance, and your driving skills is hard to resist a times. The easiest way to do so is with a burnout and make those custom wheels and tires just spin with ease. It’s fun, exciting, and great to capture on video – especially when something goes wrong.
This Chevrolet Silverado sporting a set of custom wheels with a massive exhaust stack doing a burnout is just one example of how it can all go very wrong.
For the most part, the guys making the video took the necessary precautions before spinning those custom wheels and tires on the wet pavement. Nobody was around, there were no obstacles, and no chance for traffic. So, the driver had at it, stomping on the throttle and going sideways on the wet surface, even getting a cool slow-motion cut of the drift.
The only problem was those curbs sticking out from the pavement. Those can cause a few issues and boy did they ever.
On the last drift of the video, the truck spins around and kicks the rear-end right into the curb, smashing the custom wheels against the concrete surface. Those big wheels and tires were pretty damaged after the impact and likely need to be replaced after the sheer force of the two-ton vehicle smashed against the curb.
So, next time you and your friends decide to make a drift video, cover ALL of your bases. Also, film in landscape mode. Everyone will like you a lot better for it.
