Watch this Raptor’s Truck Rims go ‘Round the ‘Ring!

When it rains, have fun!

Rain can easily ruin the day when you’re a professional driver. It instantly makes the track exponentially more difficult to drive fast and requires different kinds of tires to even get a little traction. However, when you have a Ford F-150 Raptor with its meaty truck rims and you’re at a rain-soaked Nurburgring Nordschleife, it’s a recipe for a good time.

Vaughn Gittin Jr. went to the Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany to have a good time with his Mustang RTR. He was going to drift the entire track with Ford Performance, however precipitation falling from the sky changed those plans up pretty quickly. Thankfully, Ford had one of their F-150 Raptors on hand and Gittin Jr. was more than happy to take the truck rims around the ‘Ring instead.

Instead of shredding some tires with the Mustang RTR, Gittin Jr. took the Ford F-150 Raptor sideways around the track, drifting those truck rims with ease. The F-150 Raptor isn’t what you’d normally see drifting in any situation, let alone at the iconic Nurburgring Nordschleife, but Ford and Gittin Jr. weren’t about to let rain ruin their day.

So, the pro driver took the high-performance truck around the 12.9-mile water-soaked track and drifted the hell out of it in the process. Getting it sideways wasn’t too difficult either, considering the fact that there’s a 450 horsepower, twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V-6 engine powering the rear truck rims.

Now that looks like fun.
