In the world of drifting, Japan owns the crown for their rear wheel drive, high powered monsters that just demolish tracks and corners. However, the Europeans are getting better and better at the art of going sideways, and this BMW is more than happy to spin its custom wheels like nobody’s business.
Called the F22 Eurofighter, this BMW M2 isn’t your average M2 by any means. The team at HKG Motorsport have transformed this sports car into an absolute drift terror with a load of upgrades from the custom wheels to the V-8 engine.
Yes, you read that right. There’s a big ol’ American V-8 stuffed beneath the hood of the F22 Eurofighter. The Mast Motorsports V8 RHS466 is a completely custom-built motor inside and out for maximum power and reliability under load. This 820 horsepower motor’s job isn’t to go fast, it’s to make sure that the rear custom wheels break traction as quick as possible.
The entire drivetrain of the F22 Eurofighter was completely modified while the body was transformed into a wide, commanding beast. Special lightweight Kevlar makes up the aerodynamic and powerful body with widened fenders that cover the custom wheels.
After it was all done, it was time to show the beast off in from of the camera. On a winding road, the HGK Motorsport BMW F22 Eurofighter lit up those rear tires and went sideways before going a bit off the road on its test flight.
Still looks like an absolute blast!
