AWD donut time!
We all love a good donut. Not the fried and frosted kind that go perfect with coffee in the morning; those are good too, but the kind that sees your custom wheels spinning to make some serious smoke are way more fun.
The easiest way to go about doing them is to get a rear-wheel drive car, drop the clutch, and hit the throttle while steering the car in a circle. The more power reaching those custom wheels, the better. But, when you have some high powered super cars with all-wheel drive, the donuts are even better.
Just take this Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 with custom wheels, for example. The 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V-12 engine sitting behind the driver produces a whopping 690 horsepower. All that is sent through the dual-clutch gearbox to all four custom wheels. While the all-wheel drive system is set up to maximize traction, controlling 690 horsepower is no easy task, no matter how big your tires are or how many wheels are being driven.
So, the Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 easily breaks traction. With 690 horsepower pulsing through, all four rims and tires spin and erupt into a cloud of smoke. It’s an utterly glorious display of power made better by the fact that all four rims and tires are spinning and making clouds of smoke that effectively hid the super car at times.
So, just because a car is all-wheel drive, doesn’t mean that you can’t have fun doing donuts!
