Only one actually makes it.
Those big, lifted SUVs and Trucks aren’t always for show, you know. Those massive truck wheels, howling engines, and beefed up suspensions can be made to put a real hurting on any type of terrain. But, even the biggest and baddest have days where an obstacle is insurmountable, and the Sabine River Rats 2016 showed just that.
Dozens of trucks and SUVs converged on the Sabine river to show off their power and abilities. This isn’t your average river either, it’s a swampy pipeline that loves to eat vehicles and even the baddest truck wheels don’t always survive.
Just take the first attempt as a perfect example. The driver went at it with full force only to realize that the muddy water was just too much for his truck wheels to claw through. The same happened to the next group of trucks and SUVs. No matter how lifted, how big their off road wheels and tires were, or how powerful their engine was, the swampy mess was just too much.
Only one of the dozens of vehicles that attempted the feat was able to survive, and it was only after some serious driving abilities and a struggle. The Chevy Silverado and its massive truck wheels hit the water hard and rode it like an airboat all the way to the end.
The others weren’t so lucky.
