It’s no secret that Volkswagen has a very enthusiastic and die-hard fanbase. Many of their cars have achieved a cult-like status and the MKIV-generation Volkswagen Golf/GTI and Jetta were no different. Enthusiasts drove, modified, and conquered this generation with the VR6 and the 1.8-liter turbo that could “neva lose”. This Jetta GLX packed with a VR6 is the perfect example of a slammed ‘dub and it’s packed with a new air suspension, Miro wheels, and more.
This blue 2001 Volkswagen Jetta GLX and its burbling 12-valve VR6 engine is exactly what the enthusiast community loves. Slammed with its air suspension and wearing a new set of Miro wheels, it’s great for a cruise or some spirited driving.
The exterior of the Jetta was given a fresh respray of blue paint that glistens in the sunlight. Both the front and rear valences are visually boosted thanks to OEM GLI replacements. New Emphase side skirts sit between the new staggered wheel and tire packages.
But the Volkswagen Jetta wasn’t finished there. The slammed look that is so sought after in the Volkswagen community was executed perfectly here. A new air ride suspension features a front air strut kit with upper strut mounts, a rear air bag with bracket, and Vlair 380X 100-percent duty air compressor. The system allows the Jetta to be raised or lowered and create the perfect fitment with whatever staggered wheel and tire packages the owner desires.
For this application, the Volkswagen Jetta was equipped with a set of Miro wheels. The Miro 111 rims were installed in a staggered 8.5 x 18 front and 9.5 x 18 rear setup. The setup also comes stacked with new 215/40 R18 front and 225/40 ZR18 rear Falken rubber to ensure the staggered Miro wheels get all the grip with a low profile.
With this new set of Miro 111 staggered wheels and air ride suspension, this Jetta is riding low into the hearts of enthusiasts.
