The Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution was (and still is) easily one of the most sought-after and favorite cars from the Japanese auto brand for enthusiasts around the globe. This all-wheel drive turbocharged sedan brought some serious power and potential to the street. This one, however, is bringing that to the track with its Rotiform wheels.
In stock form, the Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X came with a pretty potent turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four cylinder engine with 291 horsepower at 6,500 RPM and 300 lb-ft. of torque at 4,400 RPM. Here, that power has skyrocketed with a boatload of engine upgrades and a monster-sized turbocharger. That power is sent through a beefy gearbox to all four Rotiform wheels, sending it to 60 mph in the blink of an eye.
This Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X has been made to race from its Rotiform wheels up to its massive aerodynamics and spoiler. The entire cabin has been stripped down to the bare bones and fitted with a full roll cage. There’s all the splitters and spoilers you could need to generate downforce and reduce lift. The front hood was also removed to make room for the 2.0-liter turbocharged inline-four to properly cool and breathe on the track.
The monster Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is also sporting a lowered suspension and a new set of Rotiform LAS-R rims. These Rotiform wheels have an old-school multi-spoke look that’s reminiscent of old rally cars. Each one of the LAS-R rims features a concave face and a full Matte Black finish to contrast the white bodywork. At the front and rear, they measure 19 inches and are shod in Toyo Proxes tires for all the grip it could need on the asphalt.
The Lancer Evolution may be dead, but this Evolution X with Rotiform LAS-R wheels is going to be keeping the legend alive on the track for years to come.
