Beefed up and lifted.
The Ford F150 has always been one of the go-to vehicles for those looking for a durable and long-lasting work truck that can handle any kind of job. However, that doesn’t mean that it can’t have any style or show off its muscles. Take this Ford F150 for example. The 2004 4X4 Lariat Crew Cab was beefed up with a new suspension, tuned engine, and some new BMF wheels along with other exterior styling accessories to make it an imposing and powerful presence on the road.
To make the Ford F150 even more visually dominating, small steps were taken to enhance its appearance from the factory Ford F150 wheels on up. The lower paneling that was painted tan from the factory was given a fresh coat of black paint while the headlights and taillights were given black accents and the windows were tinted.
Next up were the more hardcore modifications that really transformed the truck. The Ford F150 was bumped up with a new six-inch RCX suspension lift to help it overcome obstacles off road with ease. A new set of BMW wheels were also added on with corresponding Falken Wild Peak A/T tires. The BMF S.O.T.A. rims were installed in a 20 x 9.0 fitment at the front and rear axle and wears its tires proudly in a large 355/60/20 setup. A new set of 4.56 gears complete the upgrades underneath the chassis.
The 4.6-liter naturally-aspirated V-8 engine is more than up to the task of making those Ford F150 wheels work to haul or tow almost anything. However, the visual transformation of the truck wouldn’t be complete without some upgrades. The factory 231 horsepower and 293 lb-ft. of torque was given a healthy boost thanks to a new K&N intake system and a new full stainless steel Works exhaust with long tube headers, high-flow catalytic converters, cross-pipe, and true dual tips protruding from the rear. The truck was then laid on the dynometer for some custom tuning to produce even more power for all four BMF wheels.
Power is the name of the game here, both visually and under the hood with this Ford F150 and its lifted suspension, BMF wheels, and tuned engine.
