No replacement for displacement.
In today’s world of stricter fuel efficiency standards, global warming, and all that fun stuff, engines are getting smaller and cylinders are disappearing. While that’s sad to see for some, it’s paving the way to a cleaner future. This Ford F-150 with a mighty V-8 and some Fuel Wheels is going to have some fun before that all happens.
Hiding under the hood of this big, bad Ford F-150 is a 6.2-liter V-8 engine. Not the smaller 3.5- or 2.7-liter EcoBoost V-6s or even the smaller naturally-aspirated 5.0-liter V-8; it’s the biggest, honkin’ gasoline V-8 available in the model line. A total of 411 horsepower and 434 lb-ft. of torque is sent to the Fuel Wheels on this bad boy while returning 18 MPG on the highway paired with the six-speed automatic gearbox.
And even better yet, it packs a serious rumble emitting from its tailpipe that only a large V-8 can produce. While it might not slay at the stop light drag races, it’s more than enough to lug around the massive new Fuel Wheels, equipment, trailers, and anything else in between.
This beastly truck saw its stock rims and tires swapped out for a fresh pair of Fuel Ambush – D555 rims. These eight star-spoked, multi-dimensional Fuel Wheels create a high-end customized look for owners with their complex design.
On this Ford F-150, the new Fuel Ambush – D555 rims were installed in a large 20 x 9.0 size at the front and rear with meaty 37 x 13.5 R20 Gripper M/T tires for traction in off-road situations. A special Gloss Black and Milled finish adds to the complexity of each wheel and easily turns heads.
