Throwing it Back.

One of the most intense and rugged races in the world is the Baja 1000 that sees all kinds of trucks and off road machines competing to reach the finish line. These trucks are built to withstand the harshest of terrain, and often fail to due to equipment failures. This classic Ford F-150 with Fuel Wheels was a recently restored Class 8 monster.

This Ford F-150 competed in the Baja 1000 during the 1990s and endured some rugged terrain at the hands of its driver. Recently it was restored with many original parts and a new set of Fuel Wheels, along with the same red, white, and blue livery.

Loaded up with lots of spare Fuel Wheels and tires, loads of safety equipment, underbody protection, and all the ‘90s favorites. Much of the original suspension and hardware was restored to original condition, making it quite the looker.

For this restoration project, the team opted to install new Fuel Wheels. Due to their old-school look and off road specifications, Fuel Anza Beadlock – D116 wheels were installed as the weapon of choice. The Raw Machined finish with black hardware and red outer ring match the livery perfectly. The 17-inch Raw Machined wheels wear meaty BFGoodrich Baja T/A tires that serve up loads of grip.
