Jeep Trailstorm Concept

Taking the trail less taken.

Many of the Jeep models unveiled at the 50th Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, Utah were designed to take on the trails with ease. But there was one that transforms the Wrangler into the ultimate off road machine and uses many Jeep Performance Parts and MOPAR parts available to customers today. The new Trailstorm concept features new Jeep Wrangler wheels, a hardcore chassis, utilitarian design, and all the functionality you’ll ever need.

“Every year, the Jeep team looks forward to pushing the limits with new, exciting and capable concept vehicles for our most loyal enthusiasts at the Easter Jeep Safari in Moab, where we receive a tremendous amount of valuable feedback,” said Mike Manley, Head of Jeep Brand – FCA Global. “This year is extra special, as together with our biggest fans, we celebrate Jeep’s 75th anniversary, as well as the 50th running of the Jeep Safari. We’re delighted to share seven of the most capable and eye-catching concept Jeep vehicles we’ve ever created at this year’s historic event.”

Based on a Wrangler Unlimited, the new Jeep Trailstorm concept features all the off road goodies and capability that you’ll ever need for those long journeys off the beaten path. A slick camouflage design decorates most of the exterior with much of the new bodywork, top, and Jeep Wrangler wheels wearing a contrasting black finish.

Many Jeep Performance Parts and MOPAR upgrades are featured on the Trailstorm concept such as the Rubicon steel front and rear bumpers with the former sporting a new winch guard. The front also features a Satin Black grille, and LED headlights and fog lights. A power dome ventilated hood, high-top fenders, half-doors, and MOPAR off road rock rails run along each side while the rear sports new taillight guards, a fuel filler door, and tire carrier for one of the five beefy Jeep Wrangler wheels.

Beneath the body lies a set of powerful 17-inch concept Jeep Wrangler wheels strapped with 37-inch off road tires. A two-inch lift kit raises the ride height considerably thanks to Jeep Performance Parts and Fox Shocks while Dana 44 front and rear axles are built for any type of terrain. A new big brake kit beefs up the stopping power.

Inside, the cockpit features Katzkin seat covers paired with MOPAR all-weather floor mats. A full bedlined interior makes cleaning easy. The rear of the SUV sports more than enough space for extra fuel tanks and equipment for those long expeditions.

Powering the four new Jeep Wrangler wheels on the Trailstorm concept is a 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine mated to a five-speed automatic gearbox for easy driving on any terrain.
