Jeep goes to Beijing with a couple of new design concepts.
Jeep is a highly sought-after automotive brand in China and the American automaker knows how to cater to its fans and customers. At the 2014 Beijing International Auto Show in China, Jeep brought over four different design concepts that reflected the culture and character of the country. The Cherokee Sageland and Urbane, Zi You Xia design concept, and the Wrangler Sundancer design concept all made their debuts featuring all sorts of additions such as special paint, Jeep wheels, and interior accessories.
The new Wrangler Sundancer design concept wears an entirely new style thanks to some new goodies that range from newly colored Jeep wheels to special graphics that echo across the exterior. The entire body wears a unique tri-coat Chocolate Brown metallic paint with various gold accents throughout that add some contrast. Each of the extended fender flares that house the new Jeep wheels sport a special Golden Bronze tone-on-tone ghosted pattern that almost looks like carbon fiber from a distance. New bronze tinted glass also hides occupants from prying eyes outside.
The exterior of the Wrangler Sundancer also benefits from a range of other goodies. The front and rear bumpers have been redesigned with new LED lights and air vents. Both bumpers wear the same tri-coat Chocolate Brown metallic paint with Golden Bronze accents for a seamless match with the body. A new set of Jeep wheels have also been installed. For the Wrangler Sundancer, the new 20-inch Jeep wheels were given a pale gold billet finish and equipped with polished gold inserts. The final touch for the exterior is a new multi-piece billet aluminum fender badge.
Inside, the level of luxury has been raised by Jeep for the Chinese market. The Wrangler Sundance design concept was given a full Berry Baltique Semi-Aniline leather interior with Axis II perforated seat inserts. Leather is also worn by the door panels and upper instrument panel while the outer deck seam, steering wheel, and center lid console wear hand-sewn provocateur lace stitching. New ‘Gold Rush’ interior paint was used on the door handles, steering wheel bezels, gearshifter trim ring bezels, and side sills to match the exterior color accents. The final touch is a set of new Romina premium leather wrapped floor mats.
The new Jeep Wrangler Sundance design concept may be just a concept now, but don’t be surprised if it goes into production as a special edition in select markets across the globe.
