Time for some torque!
The Porsche Macan is one of the more athletic offerings in the luxury compact crossover segment. After all, it has that oh-so-special Porsche DNA engrained in every nook and cranny. While diesel-powered vehicles aren’t often thought of as being sporty, the Macan S Diesel is a bit different, especially at the hands of KAEGE. The German tuning company added some engine upgrades, a new set of BBS Wheels, and loads of suspension options to make the Macan S Diesel quite the sporty crossover.
At the heart of the Porsche Macan S Diesel sits a turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 engine with a pretty meaty 254 horsepower from 4,000 to 4,250 RPM and 428 lb-ft. of torque from 1,750 to 2,500 RPM in stock form. KAEGE wanted to crank things up a notch so they installed their plug-and-play software tuning module. This unleased a total of 310 horsepower and 516 lb-ft. of torque on all four BBS Wheels for even better overall performance. This module is also paired up with a new exhaust system with factory tailpipes. The system utilizes a new set of adjustable valve flaps with acoustic RPM device that can be controlled via the cruise control stalk on the steering wheel.
Next up for the Porsche Macan S Diesel was the chassis. Here, KAEGE gave the luxury crossover SUV a wide range of options depending on what the customers want and the factory setup they have. The featured setup brings the BBS Wheels closer to the fenders through a KW DLC electronic lowering module with phone App control system. Models with a traditional suspension can be outfitted with KW coilovers or KAEGE coilovers. A more relaxed and smooth ride can be achieved with a KW Street Comfort chassis. For those wanting even more control, the German company is currently developing a setup that utilizes the factory electronic shock absorbers.
One of the last parts of the conversion for the Porsche Macan S Diesel from KAEGE was the new rim and tire setup. Here, the factory rollers were popped off and replaced with a new set of BBS Wheels. The BBS CHR lightweight wheels were the shoes of choice and installed in a 21 x 9.5 front and 21 x 10.5 rear setup with Michelin Pilot tires measuring 265/40 R21 and 295/35 R21, respectively. To finish things off, the brake calipers can be painted as well as the shock absorbers.
