All of those doomsday preppers and those looking for one of the most badass Jeeps ever made need look no further. The new Starwood Custom Jeep Full Metal Jacket Jeep Wrangler is here to conquer anything and everything in its path with body armor, XD Bomb wheels, enough LEDs to light the world, a custom-built off-road suspension, and under-seat safe.
Starwood Custom has built some pretty crazy Jeep conversions in the past, but the new 2013 Jeep Wrangler Full Metal Jacket Conversion takes everything that they’ve done to a whole new level of style and performance. The new 2013 3.6-liter Pentastar V-6 engine sends more ponies – 285 to be exact – to each of the four XD Bomb Wheels with Nitto Mud Grappler tires. Accelerating from 0-60 mph takes just 8.4 seconds thanks to a new five-speed automatic and shaves a whopping three seconds off its predecessor’s time.
The new Full Metal Jacket conversion for the Jeep Wrangler features a full Smittybilt SRC Stinger front and rear bumper set paired up with XRC body armor front fenders, rear corner guards, and rock guards. The entire vehicle wears a coat of gloss black Kevlar liner to ensure the ultimate protection. A fastback top and remote-controlled Warn – Zeon 10,000-lb. winch with Kevlar/nylon braided rope and a Safari nylon strap top adds even more capabilities to the Jeep Wrangler. Turning night into day is a Rigid Industries 50-inch LED light bar, 10-inch front LED light bar, and firewall mount LED lamps.
The Full Metal Jacket Jeep is built from the ground up and features a set of hardcore 22-inch XD Bomb wheels made for off-roading with their Nitto Mud Grappler tires. The 22-inch XD Bomb wheels wear a special black and brushed finish and are fitted with 40″ X 15.5″ X 22″ Nitto Mud Grappler tires that are more than capable of crushing boulders.
The suspension was designed for the newly equipped XD Bomb wheels and Nitto Mud Grappler tires to squash anything in their path. Curry G2 Rock Jock Dana 60 high pinion big nearing axle assemblies make up the front and rear with air locker differentials and their on-board compressors. The Rubicon express long arm suspension system works with the Synergy suspension front and rear shock/coilover setups to transverse objects easily off-road while providing a comfortable ride on the streets.
Inside, the custom-tailored goodness from Starwood Custom continues. The Daytona-style Procar seats feature black leather with alcantara inserts for added comfort while an under-seat lock box is mounted to the Kevlar-lined floor. For safety, there are two one-pound dry fire extinguishers positioned in the cabin. In terms of entertainment for driving on-road, there is satellite radio, a Kenwood DNX-6990 touchscreen/navigation, and full iPod and USB integration.
The Starwood Custom Jeep Wrangler Full Metal Jacket comes standard with all sorts of factory options as well as the suspension upgrades, XD Bomb wheels, body armor, lighting and other goodies for approximately $100,000.
