Pumping out the power for SEMA.

The SEMA Show in Las Vegas is right around the corner and automakers and aftermarket companies are putting the final touches on vehicles that they will show off. Each brand is looking to steal the show and Chevrolet is bringing four different concept versions of their Silverado to celebrate and show off those new truck rims, one of which is the Silverado RST Street concept.

“We know every truck customer is unique, which is why the Silverado offers eight trims, each with a different combination of technology, performance and design,” said Hugh Milne, Silverado marketing manager. “With a full catalog of accessories and performance parts, we offer exponentially more ways for customers to build their ideal truck. And, unlike certain aftermarket components, these are designed, engineered and validated to the same engineering standards as the Silverado itself, and backed by Chevrolet.”

The new Chevrolet Silverado RST Street concept is designed to be the ultimate pickup truck for those that like to cruise the asphalt and need capability. The RST Street is packed with attitude from its truck rims on up to the new concept body-side graphics.

The new Chevrolet Silverado RST Street concept is based on the new RST trim offered with the 2019 Silverado 1500 model. The concept features a new lowered suspension system that puts its new 22-inch high-gloss black truck rims right beneath the fenders. There’s also a new set of splash guards and a Black Silverado nameplate. Behind those 22-inch rims are six-piston Brembo front brakes with color-matched rear calipers.

The 5.3-liter engine that comes standard with 355 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 383 lb-ft. of torque at 4,100 RPM going to the rear truck rims also gains some goodies. A new two-piece set of Borla exhaust tips pairs up with a Borla cat-back exhaust system and a Chevrolet Performance cold-air intake system.

Unfortunately, the Chevrolet Silverado RST Street concept won’t be on sale for purchase, however, customers can make their own with the upcoming Silverado 1500 RST along with the associated accessories available from dealers.
