Porsche and BMW tearing it up!
There’s nothing like a classic German sports car and sports sedan. The dedication to performance, comfort, and driver engagement is unlike anything else on the market. The Porsche 944 Turbo and BMW 5-Series are two perfect examples and here we have them both just shredding their rims and tires for our enjoyment.
While the Porsche 944 Turbo came packed with a pretty potent and serious turbocharged inline-four cylinder engine that propelled it to 60 mph in under 6.0 seconds, this one has something a bit more special. Roasting its rims and tires is a transplanted 20-valve Audi turbocharged inline-five cylinder engine that is built for boost. Thanks to a laundry list of modifications it’s also likely producing well over the factory 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft. of torque in the original motor.
After the Porsche 944 Turbo leaves its mark on the pavement by shredding its rims and tires, the BMW 5-Series is up next to do the same. While it may not have the same handling abilities, performance, and eye-catching aesthetics as the 944, the 5-Series shows that it’s just as capable of laying down a serious burnout.
While we’re not sure what engine is powering the rear rims and tires of this BMW 5-Series, it’s likely a new engine like the 944 or a turbocharged version of one of the factory inline-six cylinder motors due to the sound it emits while creating clouds of smoke.
Ah, what fun.
